beach day 1

Took us 45 minutes to get to the old Santa Cruz hiway

on our way to the beach,  Annette beat us here but the 

cleaning ladies were still working whaen we got here

around 4 p.m.  beautiful sunshine!!

what a fun place...

The park is filling up for the Memorial day week end.

Our flag is out and the umbrella and chairs...looking good.

People are gathering in bunches, laughing and talking.  There must be 50 tents camped on the grassy lawn along side the creek....looked like 3 families per group having a great time. Sharing awnings, umbrellas, tables and bbq  units.  Bikes and toys all over.  The pool is open and the store will open tomorrow.

It reminds us all the fun carefree times we had camping with the family, the Hillbillies and Big Basin.
