After the rain I begin to think of wildflowers and have a hankering to travel through California to see them....maybe to the Carrizo Plains, east of Bakersfield. Several years ago we set off to see them and the famous poppy fields in southern California. Too late we called and found out the blooms were poor that year. We have never tried the trip again but look at this picture often and even wallpaper my desktop with it.
Meanwhile here at home the Hardenbergia is in bloom and the daffodils are nodding their golden heads
